6.2 Maintenance Menu

The AcuLaser C4000 is equipped with the maintenance menu for
maintenance. The maintenance menu is added to panel menu by special
operation. The maintenance menu has following functions.

1. Engine Status Sheet

2. Clear Error Log
All replacement parts of the AcuLaser C4000 (except the

ROLL ASSY) can be replaced by user. Therefore, it is
unnecessity for resetting the counter value which shows
progress of the operation time, and which is automatically
reset at the time of replacement.

6.2.1 Entry to the Maintenance Menu

The following explains how to enter the maintenance menu.
1. While pressing the BACK, UP, DOWN and ENTER buttons, turn on the
printer.
2. The following messages are displayed on a LCD panel.
RAM CHECK ** MB
NOTE: Don't release the buttons until the next message appears.

3. The above message is displayed and the maintenance menu is added
to the menu.

The following explains each item of a status sheet.
1. Total Counts
Total Pages
Total Planes
Color Pages

3. ET Cartridge
C Toner
C Toner Change
M Toner
M Toner Change
Y Toner
Y Toner Change
K Toner
K Toner Change
4. Photoconductor
5. Photoconductor Change
6. Fuser
7. Fuser Change
8. Transfer Unit
9. Transfer Unit Change
Maintenance Menu
: Same value as the Total Pages in the Information
Menu. It is not dependent on the paper size.
: Number of the paper size.
: Same value as the Color Pages in the Information
Menu. It is not dependent on the paper size.
: The number of jam occurrence.
: The amount of C Toner used (Dispense Time).
Installing a new toner cartridge will reset it.
: Counted up by detecting a new C Toner cartridge.
: The amount of M Toner used.
: Counted up by detecting a new M Toner cartridge.
: The amount of Y Toner used.
: Counted up by detecting a new Y Toner cartridge.
: The amount of K Toner used.
: Counted up by detecting a new K Toner cartridge.
: Number of printed copies of the Photoconductor.
Installing a new Photoconductor Unit will reset it.
: Counted up by detecting a new Photoconductor Unit.
: The life cycle of the Fuser ends.
: Counted up by detecting a new Fuser unit.
: Number of printed copies of the Transfer Unit.
Installing a new Transfer Unit will reset it.
: Counted up by detecting a new Transfer Unit.
