LIGHTS/METERS/SWITCHES
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
FRONT
Disconnect the brake light switch connectors and
check for continuity between the switch terminals.
There should be continuity with the brake lever
squeezed and no continuity with the lever released.
REAR
Remove the steering side covers (page 3-5).
Disconnect the rear brake light switch 3P (Light
gray) connector and check for continuity between
the switch side connector terminals.
There should be continuity with the brake pedal
depressed and no continuity with the pedal
released.
REAR BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the steering side covers (page 3-5).
Remove the wire band and disconnect the rear
brake light switch 3P (Light gray) connector.
Unhook the return spring and remove the rear brake
light switch.
Route the wire
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
