Dividing an Original Into Equal Sections
and Enlarging Each Section on a Sepa-
rate Copy Sheet
This mode automatically divides an original into equal sections and copies each section
in enlarged form on a separate copy sheet.
NOTICE
Originals copied in the Image Separation mode must all be the same size. You cannot use the Different
Size Original mode with the Image Separation mode.
In the Image Separation mode, combined use of the Two-sided, Two-page Separation, Transparency
Interleaving, Overlay, Image Combination, Image Repeat, Multi-page Enlargement, Entire Image and
Booklet modes cannot be set.
When copying onto 11"x17" or LGL sized copy paper in the 1 to 4 or 1 to 4/2
modes, you must place originals horizontally.
The following four Image Separation features are available:
MEMO
The enlargement copy ratio is automatically set to match the designated copy paper size.
1 TO 2
Divides a one-sided original into two equal sections and outputs the sections in en-
larged form as two one-sided copies.

You can place LTR and STMT-size originals horizontally or vertically when using this feature.
1 TO 4
Divides a one-sided original into four equal sections and outputs the sections in en-
larged form as four one-sided copies.
