Inserting the Control Card

When the optional Control Card is attached to the machine, you must insert the control card before
starting to use the copy function.
NOTICE
A control card enables you to restrict user of the FAX function as well. (See "Restricting Use of the Fax
Function," on p.4-16.)
When the display in step 3 below does not appear in the touch panel display even if the control card is
inserted, check the following:
• Make sure that the control card is inserted in the correct direction.
• Make sure that the control card is inserted as far as it can go.
• Make sure that an unusable control card is not inserted.

The screen on the left appears.

sure it is facing the correct direction.
