Custom Settings for Copying, FAX and Printing

Setting or Changing the System Settings Password

This sets the password for the system administrator. If the system settings password is set, restrictions
can be placed on storing or changing the following items.

• Restrict Use of FAX with Control Card
• Dept. ID Management
Custom FAX Setting Restrictions
• System Settings

Call up the desired screen as follows:

If making the setting for the first time, proceed to step 3.

Restricting Use of the Fax Function

The system can be set up so that the fax function cannot be used unless the optional control card is
inserted.
NOTICE
This setting is not necessary if the control card option is not installed.

The initial setting is "OFF".

In the factory default condition, no system settings
password is set.
For details on custom FAX settings, see chapter 6
in the Facsimile Manual.

To change the system settings password, first
enter the existing system settings password
and then press the [OK] key.

Enter a four-digit number as the new sys-
tem settings password and then press the
[OK] key.

Press the [DONE] key.
Repeat this until the Basic Features screen appears
again.
