Main Power and Control Panel Power

The machine is provided with two power switches, a main power switch and a control
panel power switch.
Turning the Power ON

Make sure that the power plug is firmly inserted into
the power outlet, and press the power switches to
the ON position.
Main power switch
The main power switch is located on the right side of the machine.
The main power lamp on the control panel lights when the main
power switch is turned ON.
NOTICE
When this machine supports FAX functions , we recommend
that you do not turn the main power switch OFF. If you turn
the main power switch OFF, you will no longer be able to
receive or send originals.
Control panel power switch
Press the control panel power switch to cancel the sleep mode and
resume normal machine operations.
MEMO
This machine can receive documents sent by FAX, and print
out received documents even in the Sleep mode. We
recommend using the Sleep mode to receive FAX docu-
ments while you are out of the office.
Documents received by FAX and instructions from a host
computer can be printed even while the machine is in the
Sleep mode.

The Basic Features screen appears in the

MEMO
The copy mode on the Basic Features screen is set to
the Standard mode.
If the message "Please insert a control card." appears,
insert a control card.
If the message "Enter Dept. ID and password."
appears, enter the department ID and password.
