ENGINE REMOVAL AND
REMOUNTING

ENGINE REMOVAL

Before taking the engine out of the frame, thoroughly
clean the engine with a suitable cleaner. The procedure
of engine removal is sequentially explained as follows.
● Remove the low leg shield.
● Remove the air cleaner by removing the mounting
bolts ① and clamp screw ② .
● Disconnect the ignition coil lead wires and spark plug
cap.
● Disconnect the oil pump cable ③ and the thermoele-
ment lead coupler ④ .
● Disconnect the throttle cable. (Refer to page 4 - 2)
● Disconnect the vacuum hose ⑤ , fuel hose ⑥ and oil
hose ⑦ .
