Entering Characters

This section describes how to enter characters.

Available Characters

• Letters:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
• Symbols:
– _ (space) . , ( ) / @ & $ ! ' # * % + : ; < = > ? ^ [ ] ` { | } ∼
• Numbers:
0123456789

Keys

1.
Quick Dial 01 to Quick Dial 09 (A
to Z)
Press these keys to enter upper and lower
case letters.
Every time you press the same Quick
Dial key, one of the three letters printed
on a Quick Dial key is displayed. For ex-
ample, when you press Quick Dial 01, let-
ters in display are changed A → B → C →
A as you press the key. Press 1 to move
cursor and enter next one.

Use to switch between upper and lower
case.
{ { { { Space} } } } key (Quick Dial 15)

Press to enter a space.
{ { { { Symbol} } } } key (Quick Dial 16)

Press to enter symbols.
0 0 0 0 or 1 1 1 1

Use to move the cursor left or right and
select the symbol.

Number keys
Use to enter numbers.
{ { { { Clear/Stop} } } } key
7.
Deletes a character at the cursor position.
Even if the cursor is placed to the right of
the character, you can delete a character
at the right end of a line.
