Page- and Record-oriented DJDEs

5.3.2 Record-oriented DJDEs

Record-oriented DJDEs take effect immediately at the next record following the last record
of the set of DJDE records of which they are a part; that is, after an END parameter, a com-
piled record-oriented DJDE takes effect immediately.
The exception is the OVERPRINT DJDE, which takes effect at the next logical page bound-
ary if FONTINDEX has been invoked in a JDE or DJDE. These DJDEs also may appear at
report boundaries to change all pages in a report (or report-ply).

Definition(s)
ALTER keeps the hold parameter in effect and specifies a new set of imaging
parameters for the current and subsequent pages.
name
Identifies a previously called out graphic that is currently subject to the hold pa-
rameter of its calling command. ALTER keeps the hold parameter in effect but
also specifies a new set of imaging parameters for the current and subsequent
pages.
vpos
Specifies the vertical position of the top edge of the graphic, relative to 0,0 on the
current physical page.
hpos
Specifies the horizontal position of the left edge of the graphic relative to 0,0 on
the current physical page.
units
Available options are CM (centimeters), IN (inches specified as a decimal num-
ber with up to three digits to the right of the decimal point), user-defined units
(UN), DOTS, or XDOTS. If no units are specified, the system defaults to IN.
n/d
Specifies the reference scale factor. Each parameter, n and d, must be an inte-
ger in the range of 1 to 8, thereby allowing a reference scale factor in the range
of 1/8 to 8. The reference scale factor is multiplied.
