Manual Redial
To redial the last number dialed with the numeric buttons, press
REDIAL.
To cancel manual redialing, simply press STOP.
Auto Redial (in Memory Sendi...g)
If the line is busy or there is no answer, the fax waits two minutes
and then dials the same number.
When the fax is waiting to redial, the following messages are dis-
played:
Transaction No.

AUTO REDIAL

CALLING
These messages are displayed once the fax has redialed the number
and is calling:
AUTO REDIAL
SCANNING DOC.
MEMORY FULL
PLEASE WAIT
Auto redialing occurs even if the fax's memory becomes full when
the document is being scanned. In this case, the following messages
are displayed:
Transaction No.
Page No.
If after two attempts the line is still busy or there is no answer, the
fax stops redialing, sending stops, and an activity report is printed to
remind you that the transmission was not completed.

Auto Redialjng
Auto redialing cannot be canceled with the STOP button while the fax
is waiting to redial. To cancel, do one of the following:
•
Wait until dialing begins and then press the STOP button.
•
Delete the document from memory. See page 5-15, "Deleting a
Stored Fax from Memory" for details.
Note
The default settings for the auto redial feature are:
•
Redials two times
•
Waits two minutes before redialing
•
If an error occurs during transmission, the fax resends the first
page of the document and the error page.
You can change these settings by following the procedure on the
next page.
