If the paper cassette is not installed correctly, the received
document image might shift, or the recording paper might jam.
Getting Started'
Note
• If you have difficulty inserting the paper cassette, disconnect then
connect the power cord. When the PLEASE WAIT message is no
longer displayed, try inserting the paper cassette again.
• If you pull out the paper cassette with paper remaining in the
cassette, be sure to check the following before reinserting it:
- Make sure no paper is out of the cassette.
- Make sure there is no loose paper inside the fax unit.
• When you change the paper size, be sure to select the correct size
from SELECT PAPER SIZE of-the FAX PRINTER SETUP.

• If the paper size is different from the size set in the FAX PRINTER
SETUp, CHECK PAPER SIZE will be displayed. Be sure to select the
correct size.

• If you wish to use A4 size paper, please contact your authorized
Canon Facsimile Service Dealer.
• If the paper cassette jams when you try inserting it in the fax,
remove it from the fax and open the printer door. Then close it and
try reinserting the paper cassette.
