t When "BLACK LEVEL" is selected:
DARKER (Factory default)
Sets the video output signal's black level to
the standard level.
LIGHTER
Reduces the standard level of the video
output signal's black level.
Set this if the image on the TV is far too dark.
y When "AV1 VIDEO OUT" is selected:
VIDEO (Factory default)
Composite video signals will be output from
the AV1 SCART terminal.
S-VIDEO
S video signals will be output.
RGB
RGB signals will be output.
u When "SQUEEZE MODE" is selected:
5 "SQUEEZE MODE" - only effective for
progressive output.
OFF (Factory default)
Set this to display 4:3 video signals over the
entire screen of a 16:9 TV.
ON
Set this to display 4:3 video signals in the
center of the screen on a 16:9 TV.
i When "PROGRESSIVE MODE" is selected:
MODE 1 (level detection mode)
(Factory default)
This is a mode for high precision detection of
the source type from the level of the video
signals recorded on the DVD.
For DVDs on which the flag (identification
signal) data is recorded incorrectly, the
picture quality may decrease when flag
detection is conducted.
This mode is effective in such cases.
MODE 2 (flag detection mode)
This is a mode for detecting the source type
from the source flag (identification signal)
recorded on the DVD.
In dark scenes, distinguishing between video
signals and noise signals with level detection
is difficult and the picture quality may
decrease.
This mode is effective in such cases.
To exit the setup mode
Use the ª cursor button to select "EXIT SETUP", then press the ENTER button. It is also possible to quit
by pressing the SETUP button on the remote control unit.

DIGITAL OUT
Use this to select the digital output's signal
format.
LPCM (44.1 KHz / 48 kHz)

Use this to set the digital audio output when
playing DVDs recorded in linear PCM audio.
BASS ENHANCER (2 CHANNEL)
Set whether or not to output audio signals from
the subwoofer when playing two-channel audio
signals.
DENON LINK
Use this to output digital signals from the
DENON-LINK terminal.
Use the • and ª cursor buttons to select the
desired setting, then press the ENTER button.
q When "AUDIO CHANNEL" is selected:

MULTI CHANNEL (Factory default)
Select this for systems in which three or
more speakers are connected.

set.
