System Log Host

The Switch can send Syslog messages to up to four designated servers using the System Log Server.
To view the following window, click Configuration > System Log Configuration > System Log Host:
The following parameters may be configured or viewed:
Parameter
Host ID
Host IP Address
UDP Port (514 or
6000-65535)
Severity
Facility
Status
To set t he System Lo g Server co nfiguration, click Apply. To delete an en try from th e System Lo g Ho st List tab le, click t he
corresponding Delete button next to the entry.

System Severity Settings

The Switch can be c onfigured to allow alerts be l ogged or sent as a tra p to an SNMP a gent or both. The level at whi ch the alert
triggers either a log en try or a trap message can be set as well. Use the System Severity Settings window to set the criteria fo r
alerts. The current settings are displayed below the System Severity Table.
To view the following window, click Configuration > System Severity Settings:

Description
Syslog server settings index (1 to 4).
The Ipv4 address of the Syslog server.
Type the UDP port number used for sending Syslog messages. The default is 514.
This drop-down menu allows you to select the level of messages that will be sent. The
options are Warning, Informational, and All.
Use the drop-down menu to select Local 0, Local 1, Local 2, Local 3, Local 4, Local 5, Local
6, or Local 7.
Choose Enabled or Disabled to activate or deactivate.
