17.1 Installing the Low Shear Recliner on to Solara Wheelchair

Install Low Shear Recliner Back Cane
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 17.3 on page 147 and FIGURE 17.4 on page 148.
1. Install the uniwasher on the seat rail in the position previously noted (FIGURE 17.4).
NOTE: Plate spacer is used with chairs equipped with T‐arms and chairs with no arms (FIGURE 17.4). Use rear arm socket bracket in
place of plate spacer when chair is equipped with non flip back arms (FIGURE 17.3).
2. Position plate spacer on outside of uniwasher (FIGURE 17.4).
3. Install recliner assembly onto uniwasher and plate spacer (FIGURE 17.4).
4. Secure recliner assembly to plate spacer, uniwasher, and seat rail with two mounting screws, washers, and locknuts
(FIGURE 17.4).
5. Repeat STEPS 1‐4 for remaining recliner assembly.
