Removing/Installing Rocker Tube (Foot
Tilt)
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 7.13.
NOTE: This procedure applies to 15‐19 inch deep seat frames and
18‐22 inch deep seat frames only. 12‐16 inch deep seat frames are
not equipped with rocker tubes.
Removing
1. Remove the gear rack. Refer to Removing/Installing
Gear Rack (Foot Tilt) on page 40.
2. Remove the mounting screw and locknut that secures
the rocker tube to the seat frame.
3. Remove the rocker tube from the wheelchair frame.
Installing
1. Install the rocker tube onto the wheelchair frame.
2. Secure the rocker tube to the seat frame with one
mounting screw and locknut. Tighten securely.
3. Install gear rack. Refer to Removing/Installing Gear
Rack (Foot Tilt) on page 40.

Removing/Installing Rocker Tube (Hand Tilt)

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 7.14 on page 48.
NOTE: This procedure applies to 15‐19 inch deep seat frames and 18‐22 inch deep seat frames only. 12‐16 inch deep seat frames are not
equipped with rocker tubes.
Removing
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 7.9 on page 42.
1. Remove the trigger release lever. Refer to Removing/Installing the Trigger Release Lever with Cable on page 97.
2. Remove the seating system. Refer to the owner's manual, p/n 1154295.
3. Remove the front riggings. Refer to the owner's manual, p/n 1154295.
4. Remove the seat pan. Refer to the owner's manual, p/n 1154295.
5. Remove two mounting screws and locknuts that secure the front of the seat frame to the rocker tubes (Detail "A").
6. Remove the two mounting screws and locknuts that secure the rear of the seat frame to the rocker tubes (Detail "A").
7. Remove the seat frame (Detail "A").
8. Remove the mounting screw that secures the tilt lockout collar to the gear rack (Detail "A").
9. Repeat STEP 8 for remaining tilt lock out collar.
10. Remove the rocker tube from the wheelchair frame (Detail "B").
Installing
1. Install the rocker tube onto the wheelchair frame (Detail "B").
2. Secure the tilt lockout collar to the gear rack with one 1 inch mounting screw (Detail "A").
3. Repeat STEP 2 for remaining tilt lock out collar.
4. Install the seat frame (Detail "A").
5. Secure the rear of the seat frame to the rocker tubes with two 1 inch mounting screws and locknuts (Detail "A"). Tighten
securely.
