Replacing/Repositioning Cantilever Arm Locking Lever
The locking mechanism is spring loaded. Place your free hand over the locking mechanism to
prevent the parts from springing out of the cantilever arm.
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.6.
1.
Flip the cantilever arm up and out of the way.
2.
Unscrew the actuator from the locking mechanism.
3.
Remove the locking mechanism and spring from the cantilever arm.
NOTE: Inspect the spring for damage and replace if necessary.
4.
Slide the new locking mechanism and spring into the cantilever arm.
5.
Position the angled portion of the locking mechanism in one of two ways (Detail "A"):
•
Angled Portion Facing Up ‐ Arm will flip up.
•
Angled Portion Facing Down ‐ Arm will flip down.
6.
Push and hold the locking mechanism into the cantilever arm.
7.
Screw the actuator into the locking mechanism mounting hole.
8.
Flip the cantilever arm up/down to lock in place.
9.
Pull up/down on the cantilever arm to ensure it has locked in place.

Installing T-Arm Sockets
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.7 on page 28.
1.
Position the T‐Arm clamp on the seat rail.
NOTE: The T‐Arm socket MUST be positioned on the outside of the wheelchair frame.
2.
Secure T‐Arm clamp to seat rail with mounting screws, coved washers and locknuts. Tighten securely.
3.
Position the T‐Arm socket inserts in the T‐Arm socket.
4.
Line up the mounting holes in the T‐Arm socket with the threaded holes in the T‐Arm clamp.
5.
While holding the T‐Arm socket and the T‐Arm clamp together, install the four mounting screws and washers into
mounting holes. Tighten loosely.
