Mode (ECM), use a slower transmission speed, and set a lower fax resolution.

No dial tone: A wired analog phone line is required for faxing. If you do not hear a dial tone when you press
Send Fax, disconnect and reconnect the phone cord from the wall outlet and the 1-Line port on the fax
machine. Connect a regular phone to the phone line, pick up the receiver, and listen to see if the phone line has
a dial tone. If the issue persists, try sending the fax through another wall jack and make sure you are using the
phone cord that shipped with the fax machine.
No document sent: No pages were scanned or pages were not received from the computer. Try sending the fax
again.
No fax answer/Canceled send or No fax answer/Redial pending: Attempts to redial a fax number failed, or
the Redial-no answer option is disabled. Call the recipient to ensure that the fax machine is on and ready, and
that you have the correct fax number. If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect the phone cord from the
wall outlet and the 1-Line port on the fax machine. If available, try sending the fax through another wall jack
and use the phone cord that shipped with the fax machine.
No fax detected: The machine answered the incoming call but did not detect that a fax machine was calling. If
waiting for the machine to receive the fax fails, try connecting the fax to another wall jack using the phone cord
that shipped with the fax machine.
