Ricoh Printer Assistant does not open with a USB-connected printer

After upgrading to the most recent version of Windows with a USB-connected printer, Ricoh Printer Assistant
software does not open or the Printer Setup & Software screen displays when you click the desktop shortcut.
To resolve the issue, reconnect the printer or reinstall the software.
Step 1: Reconnect the printer
If the Printer Setup & Software screen displays when you click the printer desktop icon, click Connect a new
device, and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer again.
• If you can open Ricoh Printer Assistant, the issue is resolved.
• If you cannot open Ricoh Printer Assistant, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Uninstall the Ricoh printer software
Remove all Ricoh printing software from the computer before reinstalling the latest driver.
