Putting the Instrument into Storage

If the instrument is to be stored or not used for an extended period, it is
recommended to follow this procedure:
1 Flush the detector with a mixture of Acetone/Water (50/50) at 1 mL/min for
2 Allow the instrument to cool to ambient temperature in STANDBY mode with
3 Tip the instrument forwards to try and empty the solvent within the
4 Pour 10 – 20 mL of acetone into the rear exhaust tube to flush out the internal
5 Repeat step 3 to drain the acetone.

7 Using the gas supply, blow nitrogen gas through the exhaust to evaporate any
