Make sure that the CD-ROM drive is reading
correctly.
To test the CD-ROM drive tray,
Make sure that the CD-ROM can play audio
CDs correctly.
Video display problems.
Make sure the video display attributes
(blinking, bold, and reverse v ideo) memory
are operating correctly.
Make sure text displays correctly.
Make sure graphics display correctly.
Make sure Super VGA graphics display
correctly.
A mouse attached to a serial port does not
work. A dev ice attached to a serial port does
not work.
A printer connected to the parallel port does
not work.
CD-ROM Drive Problems
If the computer has a SCSI CD-ROM drive,
run the SCSI CD-ROM Read test on the SCSI
menu.
If the computer has an ATAPI or IDE CD-
ROM drive, run the CD Data test on the IDE
menu.
Choose the CD Tray Test on the I DE or SCSI
group menu.
If the computer has a SCSI CD-ROM drive,
choose the SCSI CD-ROM Play test on the
SCSI menu.
If the computer has an ATAPI or IDE CD-
ROM drive, choose the CD Audio Test on the
IDE menu.
Video Problems
Run the Video Memory test on the Video
menu.
Run the Attribute test on the Video menu.
Run the 40x25 and 80x25 Display tests on the
Video menu.
Make sure the correct video drivers are
loaded. Run the Video 320x200, 640x200,
640x350, 640x480, and Color tests on the
Video menu.
Run the VESA Video Mode and VESA Video
Memory test on the Video menu.
Serial Port Problems
Run the Serial port test on the Misc. menu.
Parallel Port Problems
Run the Parallel port test on the Misc. menu.
