86 | DR 100s | Basic Workflow

Starting the examination

1. Press the brake control at the tube-collimator handles and move the X-ray
tube head upward.
The arm is released from secured position. The display of the NX
workstation and of the tube head light up.
2. In NX, query the RIS.
If you use a wired network the network cable must be plugged in to be able
to perform this step.
3. Define the patient info for the examination.
If the patient cannot be retrieved from the RIS you should enter patient
data manually. In that case, you can use the 'virtual keyboard'.
4. Start the examination.
5. Select the thumbnail for the exposure in the Image Overview pane of the
Examination window.
The DR detector is activated. The DR Detector Switch shows which DR
detector is active and shows its status.
The software console displays the default X-ray exposure parameters for the
selected exposure.
