Verify motors are operating correctly by
pressing main blade and scoring blade ON
buttons (refer to Figure 1 on Page 5) on front
console.
—When operating correctly, machine runs
smoothly with little or no vibration or rub-
bing noises.
— Investigate and correct strange or unusu-
al noises or vibrations before operating
machine further. Always stop machine and
disconnect it from power before investigat-
ing or correcting potential problems.

Verify main blade is rotating clockwise (as
standing in front of machine) and scoring
blade is rotating counterclockwise (opposite
direction of main blade).
Note: You may need to stop blade rotation
and watch blades come to a stop to deter-
mine which direction they are rotating.
— If blades are rotating in wrong direction,
stop machine and DISCONNECT FROM
POWER! Polarity of incoming power sup-
ply is reversed. Swap "R" and "T" wire posi-
tions inside power supply junction box (see
Figure 73), and reconnect machine to power.

Do not swap "R" or "T" wires with ground
wire inside power supply junction box. Doing
so will electrify machine frame, which could
cause electrocution. Make sure incoming
ground wire is only connected to right-most
terminal post in the power supply junction
box so machine is properly grounded.
8.
Press Emergency Stop button on front con-
sole to turn machine OFF.
9.
WITHOUT resetting Emergency Stop button,
press main blade and scoring blade ON but-
tons on front console. Machine should not start.
—If machine does not start, safety feature of
Emergency Stop button is working correctly.
—If machine does start, immediately turn
machine OFF and disconnect from power.
The safety feature of the Emergency Stop
button is NOT working correctly. This safe-
ty feature must work properly before pro-
ceeding with regular operations. Call Tech
Support for help.
10. Reset Emergency Stop button on front
console.
11. Repeat Steps 6–9 with Emergency Stop but-
ton on side of cabinet (refer to Figure 2 on
Page 5).
12. Repeat Steps 6–9 with main blade and scor-
ing blade ON buttons and Emergency Stop
button (refer to Figure 7 on Page 8) on over-
head control panel.
13. Press Emergency Stop buttons.
