Checking remote host IPv6 integrity
Use this procedure to check the IPv6 integrity of the remote host that does not respond to the ping.

1. Use vendor documentation to ensure the remote host is configured correctly for IPv6.
2. Check cabling to ensure that no physical problem exists.
Unable to connect through the IPv6 default gateway
This section describes the troubleshooting process you can use to correct a failure to connect from
outside the local subnet, to or from the switch, through the IPv6 default gateway.
Pinging the IPv6 default gateway
Use this procedure to test the ability for the switch to reach the IPv6 default gateway.
Procedure
1. Log on to ACLI to enter User EXEC mode.
2. Use the ping <ipv6_addr> command to ping the IPv6 default gateway.
3. Identify if the host is reachable.
Verifying the switch IPv6 default gateway configuration status
Use this procedure to verify that the switch is configured for connections through the IPv6 default
gateway.
