Using TCP/IP diagnostic tools
This section describes the following TCP/IP diagnostic tools available for the network adapter.
These tools are useful to diagnose LAN communication problems. The first three tools are the
most useful:
• ipconfig
• ping
(The ping command
• tracert
• arp
(The arp command
• nbtstat
• netstat
These utilities help you to verify network connectivity. Network connectivity is essential to
CallPilot operation. These utilities help you to thoroughly test the network interface and isolate
configuration problems.
The ipconfig command
The ipconfig command displays IP configuration information.
Ipconfig default
If you run the command without flags, it displays the IP address, subnet mask, and default
gateway for each adapter bound to TCP/IP.
Ipconfig command syntax
ipconfig /[ ]
