3. Loosen the chassis ground clamp screw, and bring the ground post forward so that there is
room between the ground post and the back of the clamp for the exposed wire of the cable.
4. Lower the exposed wire of the ground cable down into the top well of the chassis ground
clamp. The exposed wire should be behind the ground post, so that it is between the ground
post and the back of the clamp, and the ground post protects the exposed wire from the
screw.
5. Tighten the ground clamp screw so that the exposed wire is crimped by the ground
post.6When the shelf end of the ground cable is securely connected to the chassis ground
clamp, connect the other end of the ground cable to earth
To ground the CMS-6000 Media Server using a cable with a connector, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the ground cable that was shipped with your system.
2. Unscrew one of the screws attaching the copper plate of the ground clamp to the shelf.
3. Align the hole of the connector over the screw hold on the chassis ground clamp.
4. Replace and tighten the screw. Ensure the connector is securely fastened between the
head of the screw and the copper plate.
5. When the shelf end of the ground cable is securely connected to the chassis ground clamp,
connect the other end of the ground cable to earth ground.
