72 Upgrade and convert the IP Phone 1120E firmware
If the number is lower than 0625C1H, go to the section

version of UNIStim Firmware before you convert to SIP Firmware.

Upgrade UNIStim Firmware to the minimum required UNIStim Firmware

Use either of the following two methods to upgrade UNIStim Firmware.
1. UFTP download initiated by the server if the server supports this method
2. TFTP download on bootup.
If necessary, use the following procedure to configure the TFTP server.

Action
The IP Phone 1120E always executes the TFTP download at bootup
if a TFTP IP address is configured on the IP Phone 1120E after
being initiated by the telephony call server.
Go to the TFTP server and create the 1120e.cfg provisioning
file. The 1120e.cfg provisioning file is a clear text file. Create the
provisioning file as shown in the next table.

This configuration file forces the firmware download of 0625C23.bin.
Download and copy the firmware to the TFTP server directory.
To download the UNIStim Firmware for the IP Phone 1120E from
the Nortel Web site:
1. Go to www.nortel.com/support.
2. Log on to the Nortel Web site with a valid Nortel User ID and
Password.
