Upgrade to the Minimum UNIStim Firmware

The IP Phone 1120E can be ordered with UNIStim Firmware installed or
with SIP Firmware installed. You can convert the firmware on an IP Phone
1120E from UNIStim to SIP. To successfully convert the firmware from
UNIStim to SIP, the UNIStim Firmware version on your IP Phone 1120E
must be 0625C1H or higher.

Identify the current version of UNIStim Firmware

For a new IP Phone 1120E, follow
Firmware version on a new IP Phone 1120E" (page 69)

For an IP Phone 1120E already in use, follow

Action
After assembling the IP Phone 1120E and turning it on, the display
on the IP Phone 1120E goes through the following sequence:
•
Nortel splash screen appears
• Nortel sonic sound plays
• Nortel banner appears
Following the Nortel banner, the firmware version appears in the
display (F/W version).
Note the UNIStim Firmware version number and write it down.
Compare the version number to the minimum-required UNIStim
Firmware version (0625C1H).
UNIStim Firmware version names contain numbers and letters.
Use the last three characters in a version to compare the version
of UNIStim on an IP Phone 1120E (0625C1H) with the minimum
required version for the upgrade. Note that C23 is greater than C1H
and C1B is less than C1H.
