1.9 PAPER FEED
1. Do not touch the pick-up, feed, and separation rollers with oily bare hands.
2. The side fences of the tray must be positioned correctly to align with the
actual paper size to avoid paper misfeeds.
3. Take care not to injure yourself with the hooks when you remove the 3rd
tray.
4. The paper feed rollers used in the 1st ~ 3rd feed stations are different
from the feed rollers in the LCT and the by-pass feed table. Distinguish
them by the color of the side plate ("hub") of the rollers.
1.10 FUSING UNIT
1. Do not touch the fusing lamp with bare hands.
2. Make sure that blue wire of the fusing lamp is at the front side and that
the identically colored connectors are connected and that they are not
touching the inner surface of the hot roller.
3. Store the oil supply roller horizontally.
1.11 DUPLEX
1. Take care not to injure yourself by dropping the duplex unit when
removing and/or installing the duplex unit.
2. Do not touch the feed roller and separation belts with oily bare hands.
1.12 DOCUMENT FEEDER
1. Do not touch the pick-up, separation, inverter, and exit rollers with oily
bare hands.
2. Before removing each timing belt tension bracket, mark the position of the
bracket to ensure correct tension after reassembling.
1.13 SORTER STAPLER
1. Disconnect the power cords of the copier and the second sorter stapler
before disassembling the sorter staplers.
2. Lubricate the gears and bushings using a suitable lubricant mentioned in
the maintenance table.
3. Do not touch the sorter rollers with oily bare hands.
