Connecting to a Macintosh

Turning on the printer

Connect Macintosh computers on a network through the built-in Ethernet
interface. An optional LocalTalk network card is available.

for installation and conÞguration procedures.

information.
Plug the power cord into the printer and into a grounded outlet.

Turn on the printer.

Note
To ensure optimum printing performance and best ink economy,
always leave the printer turned on. The printer automatically
switches into a standby mode during periods of infrequent use to
reduce power consumption.
