    Unlocking the transit restraint Insert a wide ßat-blade screwdriver into the slot of the transit restraint lock, located on the right side of the printer. While pushing inward with slight pressure, turn the lock button counterclockwise until it springs out ßush with the side of the printer.

    Remove the packing materials from the maintenance tray. Retain the plastic bag for disposal of the used maintenance tray later. Open the front cover.   • Page 29 Install the maintenance tray by sliding it into the printer. Make sure that the tray slides in straight on both sides. Using both thumbs, push the tray in Þrmly until it latches. Close the front cover. Caution If you move or ship the printer, be sure to remove the maintenance tray to protect the printer from damage.

    Loading the media trays Your printer is shipped with a single media tray (letter- or A4-size) that accepts common ofÞce paper and letterhead, transparencies, and labels. If you frequently print on different types of media, you may want to obtain a tray for each type of media you use.

    You can use most commercial SCSI hard disks with up to 2.1 Gbytes of memory with the Phaser 360 printer. For example, SCSI hard disks that work with an Apple LaserWriter will work with a Phaser 360 printer.

Tektronix premium and standard grades of transparency media are designed to provide optimal image quality and reliable operation.     The printer must be set for the correct size media through the printer driver. The image area for the Phaser 360 printer is 8.11 x 10.45 in. (letter-size) and 200 x 283 mm (A4-size). The difference between the image area and the media size for the top margin and side margins is 5 mm (0.2 in.).
