1. 0-ring
2. Secure the starter motor in place with the
two securing bolts. Torque them to specifi-
cation.
Tightening torque:
10 Nm (1.0m - kg,7.2ft-lb)
3. Insert the idle gear #1 shaft into the idel
gear #1.
4. Install the idle gear shaft into the crank-
case.

Crankcase covers, oil pump, and oil filter

1. Install the two dowels in the left-side crank-
case as shown in the photograph.
2. Idle gear #1
2. Install the left side crankcase cover. Use a
new gasket and torque the securing bolts to
specification.
NOTE:
Install the bolt with the clutch cable clamp as
shown in the illustration.
Tightening torque:
10 Nm (1m - kg, 7.2ft-lb)
3. Connect the blue color lead to the neutral
switch and black/red lead to the oil pressure
switch.
4. Reassemble the oil pump.
5. Place the engine on the bench with the right
side facing up.
6. Install the dowel and 0-ring into the right
side crankcase as shown in the photograph.
