1. Install the clutch housing onto the trans-
mission main axle.
2. Install the thrust washer and the clutch boss
onto the transmission main axle.

3. Install a new lock washer onto the trans-
mission main axle. Be sure the tab of the
washer engages the slots in the clutch
boss.
4. Install
the
clutch
Using the clutch hub holder, tighten the
clutch-boss nut and torque it to specifi-
cation. Bend a lock tab against a nut flat.
Tightening torque:
70 Nm (7.0m-kg, 50ft-Ib)
5. Place a small piece of rolled rag or a piece
of lead between the drive gears. This will
hold the primary drive gear so you can
tighten the primary drive gear and oil pump
drive gear securing nut. Torque it to specifi-
cation. Bend a lock tab against a nut flat.
Tightening torque:
70Nm(7.0m-kg, 50ft-lb)

6. Install the friction and clutch plates. Begin
with a friction plate and alternate clutch and
friction plates until all of the plates are in the
clutch boss.
7. Insert push rod #2 into the transmission
main axle. Insert the ball into the shaft.

8. Install the new 0-ring onto the push rod #1.
9. Install the clutch pressure plate and the six
clutch
springs.
bolts to specification. Bend a lock tab
against a nut flat.
Tightening torque:
8 Mm (0.8m-kg, 5.8ft-lb)
NOTE:
When installing the clutch pressure plate, align the
marks on the clutch boss and pressure plate.
