21. While applying upward pressure to the Brake Arm, remove the hardware
that secures the Brake Cable to the Brake Arm with a 1.5mm hex wrench.
Once loose, gradually lower the Brake Arm.
Note: be aware that the Spring will pull the Brake Arm once released. An ob-
ject can be placed under the Brake Arm to supply resistance during the release
of the Brake Cable Hardware.
22. Using a 8mm open faced wrench, loosen the Brake Cable Securing Nut.
23. Remove the Brake Assembly by pulling the cable up and out from the
Shrouds. The Upper Shrouds will need to be carefully pried open to allow the
end of the Cable to be released.
24. Attach a piece of wire or string to the end of the Brake Cable (where it at-
tached to the Brake Arm).
25. Gently remove the Brake Cable from the top, routing the newly attached
wire or string up through the Frame Assembly. Be sure the Upper Shrouds
provide enough space for the Brake Cable to pass.
26. Remove the wire or string from the old Brake Cable and attach to the end
of the new Brake Cable.
Note: do not crimp the Cable.
27. Pulling on the lower end of the wire or string, partially route the new Brake
Cable down into the Frame Assembly. Be sure the Upper Shrouds have
enough space for the Brake Cable to have access.
Note: do not crimp the Cable.
