Chapter 10 Error Indication

If an error occurs on the system, the SL-VGU1-EC will output the error signal, and the error indicator and the
address display of the controller will inform the error.

Error Indication on S-LINK V System Side

Error No.
Error 0
• Fault in system (controller)
Error 1
• Short-circuit between +24V and D
Error 2
• Short-circuit between D and G
Error 3
• Fault or disconnection of recognized I/O unit
Error 4
• Addition of unrecognized unit
• Output short-circuit of output unit
Error 5
• Drive power supply of I/O device switched off
Error 6
• System setting not done correctly.
Note: If two or more errors are detected at the same time, errors 1 and 2 will be given priority in indication.

Note: When I/O settings of EtherCAT master differ from those of SL-VGU1-EC, the following setting error occurs.
Indication of SL-VGU1-EC:
In EtherCAT master, "1" occurs in bit3 of 0x1B00:10 and 0x6100:10 (see page 32).
By establishing consistency with settings of SL-VGU1-EC, the status turns to normal.
