4. Adjustment of Fuel Injection Pump and Governor
4.8.3 Smoke c u t spring
The smoke c u t spring is used in the form of spring
loaded assembly.

Before Adjusting the smoke cut spring assembly,
adjust (1) the fuel limit bolt, and
(2) the revolution limit bolt.

(1) Turn the control lever to " F U L L L O A D , " an<

(2) Remove the rear cover from the governor. Screv
the smoke cut spring assy, in the thread of thi
tension lever u n t i l it comes i n t o contact w i t l

(3) Tighten the lock nut to the specified tightenini
torque. Attach the governor rear cover.

(4) Run the fuel injection pump at the rated revolu
tions (Nt) once again. Check whether the contro
rack smoothly

injection at revolutions (Ni) meet the specification
