6. Governing Mechanism

When the control lever is moved until it con-
tacts the maximum speed stopper, engine
speed is increased until the full-load maximum
speed is reached: At this time the yoke is
pulled to the extreme left (refer to Fig. 41), the
partial load spring is fully compressed, the gov-
ernor spring is compressed and the tension
lever is pulled to the left until it contacts the

stopper pin M3 (i.e. where the full-load injection
quantity is obtained).
With an increase in speed the flyweights' cen-
trifugal force increases and the governor
sleeves acts to move the tension lever against
the force of the governor spring to move the
control sleeve and maintain full-load maximum
speed operation.
