6. Governing Mechanism

On starting, the centrifugal force of the
flyweights causes the governor sleeve to move
to the right (Fig. 39). The governor sleeve then
contacts and moves the torque control lever.
The torque control lever pushrod then contacts
the tension lever at point A, and the torque
control lever then pivots around point A to

compress the start-idling spring until its set
force is overcome by the flyweights' centrifu-
gal force. Consequently the starting lever will
pivot clockwise around M2, thus moving the
control sleeve in the fuel decrease direction un-
til an injection quantity suitable for idling is
attained.
