Optional SCSI Duplex Configuration

Compaq ProLiant 5500 and 5500R servers that are optionally configured in the
duplex mode split the hard drive backplane board (duplex board) into two
separate independent SCSI channels. Each channel supports either 4 X 1"
or 3 X 1.6" drives.

Duplex SCSI Channels

In the Compaq ProLiant 5500 and 5500R server, the duplex board has two
SCSI input channels, designated SCSI Input 0 and SCSI Input 1. These
connectors are shown in Figure 7-11.
