2. Locate the MAC address label on the back of the chassis that identifies the ELAN
3. Record the MAC address on the Configuration Wizard worksheet that is provided
4. Connect an RJ-45 network cable from the ELAN hub or switch to the ELAN
5. At the switch, connect the ELAN network cable to an MAU (Ethernet) transceiver

You need the MAC address to identify the ELAN when running the Configuration
Wizard to configure the CallPilot server.

Note:
The ELAN hub or switch is optional if you use a cross-over network cable to make
a direct point-to-point connection from the server to the switch. However, if you
choose to establish a direct point-to-point ELAN connection, no other device can
connect to the ELAN.
