Disassembling Crankcase Half - Arctic Cat 450 XC 2011 Service Manual

2. Using Crankcase Separator/Crankshaft Remover and
tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, separate the
crankcase halves. Account for two alignment pins.
 NOTE: To keep the shaft/gear assemblies intact for
identification, tap the shafts toward the left-side
crankcase half when separating the halves.
Disassembling Crankcase
 NOTE: To aid in installing, keep the assemblies
together and in order.
 NOTE: For steps 1-6, refer to illustration FI639A.

1. Remove the secondary driven shaft assembly (A)
noting the location of the front and rear bearing
locating pins and the center bearing locating ring.
