12.Disconnect the crankcase breather hose from the air
box; then loosen the clamp securing the air box boot
to the throttle body and remove the air box.
13. Loosen the clamp securing the throttle body to the
intake pipe and remove the throttle body. Secure the
throttle body assembly clear of the work area.
14. From the top side, remove the engine coolant tem-
perature (ECT) sensor connector (C), fuel injector
connector (D), manifold absolute pressure (MAP)
sensor connector (E), idle step control (ISC) connec-
tor (F), and throttle position sensor (TPS) connector
(G).

15. From the right side, disconnect the stator connector
(H) and crankshaft position sensor connector (I)
from the main harness; then disconnect the positive

cable from the starter motor and the engine ground
cable from the starter mounting flange.

16. Remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug and

secure the wire away from the work area.
17. Remove coolant hoses (A) and (B) from the water
pump; then remove the upper coolant hose from the
thermostat housing.
