Video Compensation Guidelines

Some guidelines on compensating video are listed below, as well as
information on compensating video on LCD panels.
The guidelines focus on;
Skew
Brightness and
Sharpness

Brightness
Sharpness
Note;
LCD screens have a tendency to automatically try and compensate
the video, and can present issues when adjusting for skew. Using
a CRT monitor to adjust the video quality is often the best way
around this.
Simply click on the relevant Port Name hyperlink on
the Status page.
The Port Configuration page will now be displayed.
Name the port appropriately.
Endeleo recommends that the video
compensation is first adjusted to eliminate any
skew, using vertical red / green / blue lines.
Once any skew has been eliminated the video
should be adjusted for brightness using a grey
scale or equivalent test card.
Finally the sharpness of the video should be
adjusted eliminating any over or under shoot
of the video. Horizontal black and white bars
are one useful method of tuning sharpness.
