6.15.3 Retrofitting with mechanical back angle adjustment

A frame with mounting struts, which is included in the replacement kit, is required for the backrest
in order to mount the mechanical back angle adjustment option.
Tools:
❒ Allen wrench, size 3
❒ Two Allen wrenches, size 4
Steps:
1. Remove the bearing plates.
2. Mount the frame with mounting strut.
3. Insert the upper end of the gas spring between the two lugs in the centre of the backrest.
4. Place spacer sleeves on the brass sleeve to the left and right of the gas spring.
5. Attach the gas spring using the brass bushings and two Allen head screws.
6. Hook the lower end of the gas spring into the Bowden cable.
7. Slide the bolt through the end of the gas spring and secure with a retaining ring.
8. Hook the bolt at the bottom of the cross tube on the back into the adapter.
9. Install the Bowden cable and mount it to the armrest on the left or right.
