lowing.
7.1 Mechanical Back Angle Adjustment
The backrest of the power wheelchair with standard or con-
toured seat can be equipped with a mechanical back angle
adjustment.
In the sitting position, the backrest can be tilted back con-
tinuously by up to 30°.
To adjust the backrest proceed as follows (see Fig. 25):
1. Use the release lever on the armrest (to unblock the gas
compression spring).
2. Move the backrest to the desired position.
3. Let go of the release lever (to again block the gas com-
pression spring).

7.1.1 Specialties for preparing power wheelchair for
transport
CAUTION
Risk of accident and injury due to incorrectly installed
backrest. Make sure that the locking on cross bolt has en-
gaged (Fig. 26). Check if the cross bolt firmly locks in
place.
To fold the backrest down proceed as follows:
1. Release the cross bolt at the lower end of the gas com-
pression spring (by pushing up the lever, see Fig. 26).
