8.1.3 Mechanical Back Angle Adjustment
The backrest of the B500 power wheelchair with a stand-
ard or contoured seat can be equipped with a mechani-
cal back angle adjustment.
To adjust the backrest (see fig. 21):
r Use the release lever on the armrest (to unblock the
gas compression spring).
r Move the backrest to the desired position.
r Let go of the release lever (to again block the gas
compression spring).

8.1.4 Electric Back Angle Adjustment
The backrest of the standard seat can be equipped with
an electric back angle adjustment (see fig. 22). To con-
trol this feature, the joystick is used in the "additional
function" mode. The backrest can be continuously
inclined backwards up to 30°.
nOTE !
It is helpful to slightly incline the back to the
rear when driving down inclines or curbs.
Drive up and down inclines, slopes, and ob-
stacles at reduced speed only (max.3 km/h).
