14.10 Mechanical back angle adjustment

The back of the standard or contoured seat can be tilted backwards by operating the release lever as illustrated
in Figure 29. This unblocks the gas compression spring, upon which the back can be tilted to the desired angle.
Letting go of the release lever will again block the gas compression spring.

Caution!
A tilted back angle changes the tip stability of the wheelchair. Driving up inclines therefore requires
additional attention!
The back can also be folded down for transport. For this, the release lever is pressed down (Fig. 29). This
releases the cross bolt at the lower end of the gas compression spring.

After removing the side panels, the back part can be folded down onto the seat. For unfolding, fold the back up
again and push the gas compression spring onto the lock. The bolt will then snap into place (Fig. 30).
Note!
Ensure that the backrest locks firmly into place!
