Chapter 5 TelnetCE Configuration

Introduction

This chapter provides instructions required for connecting serial scanners in a Wavelink TelnetCE session via the
VC70 vehicle computer.
NOTE For Speakeasy on Wavelink TE refer to Symbol Technologies Support Center or Wavelink website.
Before starting Wavelink TE, make sure DataWedge application is not running to avoid software
NOTE
conflicts.
NOTE For best performance, when using Wavelink TE, DataWedge application should not be running, unless it is
specifically planned for.
Once DataWedge is started, it will be running in the background. To make sure DataWedge is disabled
when Wavelink TE is running create a profile within DataWedge, associate the Wavelink TE to this profile,
then un-check the Enabled option for that profile. This will disable DataWedge when Wavelink TE is
running, but allow DataWedge to be used for other applications.
