BASIC OPERATION

■ Mode selection

Push [VFO/MR/CALL] one or more
times to sequentially select the VFO
mode, memory mode and Call channel
mode.
D VFO mode
The VFO mode is used to set the
operating frequency.
What is VFO?
VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscillator. Fre-
quencies for both transmitting and receiving are generated
and controlled by the VFO.

D Memory mode
The memory mode is used for
operating on memory channels,
which store programmed fre-
quencies.

" appears when the memory
mode is selected.
D Call channel mode
The Call channel is used for
quick recall of the most often-
used frequency.
• "C" appears instead of the memory
channel number when the Call
channel mode is selected.
