Checking the Battery Voltage Level
You may check the current voltage level of the battery cartridge on the LCD which is
displayed either as an icon or a bar indicator.
The icon is displayed on the bottom of the LCD while the BHT-4000 is in operation
(except in System Mode) as default. You may erase the icon by turning off the
STATUS setting in System Mode. Refer to Subsection 2.4.3, [4.2] Setting the
message version and the system status indication.
The bar indicator will temporarily appear, by turning on the power while holding
down the trigger switch. For details, refer to Subsection 2.3.3 Adjusting the LCD
Contrast & Beeper Volume, and Displaying the Battery Voltage Level.
Low Battery Indication
If the battery voltage level drops below the specified level while the BHT-4000 is in
operation, the BHT-4000 displays the following message on the LCD, beeps five
times, and goes off automatically. Charge the battery cartridge (see the "Charging
the Battery Cartridge" below) or replace the current battery cartridge with a fully-
charged one.

Charging the Battery Cartridge

You may charge the battery cartridge with the optical communications unit CU-
4000 or the quick charger C-200 (option). For the charging procedure with the CU-
4000, refer to Chapter 6. For the charging procedure by the C-200, refer to the "C-
200 User's Manual."
