2.1 BHT-4000 System Configuration

As shown in the system configuration below, it is necessary to prepare not only the
BHT-4000 Bar Code Handy Terminal (which reads bar codes and accepts keypad entry)
but also the following hardware:
Host computer:
CU-4000:
RS-232C interface cable:
The basic software required for operating the BHT-4000 is "System Program" which is
contained in the "BHT-BASIC 3.0 System Pack." (The BHT-BASIC 3.0 System Pack is
provided in a 3.5" floppy disk.)
Optional software includes the BHT-BASIC 3.0 Compiler and Transfer Utility. (Each
software is provided in a 3.5" floppy disk.)

640 kilobytes. At least 400-kilobyte area should be reserved as a work

manage them.
Exchanges programs and data with the BHT-4000 opti-
cally and with the host computer via the RS-232C inter-
face.
Connects the CU-4000 and the host computer.
